Bhopal. There is some relief news for the electricity consumers of Madhya Pradesh. New electricity rates will not be implemented in the state from April 1. Because the Electricity Regulatory Commission has not yet issued any notification. According to the provision, the new rates will be implemented after the issue of information.
The power consumers of the state have got some relief. Actually, the State Electricity Regulatory Commission has not yet released public information. As per the provision fixed, when public information is issued, new electricity rates can be implemented only after 7 days from the next day.

The new rates could have come into force from 1 April when the Commission released public information by 24 March. But no notification has been issued so far. Let us tell you that MP Power Management Company has proposed a 7.52 percent increase in electricity rates for the year 2025-26.
