Expressing concern over the ASP and TI and several other policemen injured in the stone pelting, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav had posted on X at night and instructed to identify the miscreants and take strict action against them, after which on Thursday morning, police forces were called from Panna as well as Chhatarpur and raids were started across the city. The city was also closed in protest against the attack on the police. According to information, former vice president of the district Congress, Haji Shahzad Ali, was at the forefront of those who submitted a memorandum to the crowd on Wednesday.
First of all, the bulldozers headed towards Ali’s luxurious bungalow. The bungalow built in 20 thousand square feet is alleged to have been built without permission. With the help of two Pokelins and a JCB, the house spread over about 6 thousand square feet was demolished. During this, apart from turning the bungalow into ruins, the JCB was also used on three cars including a Fortuner parked in the porch.
During this time Shahzad Ali remained absconding along with his family, and seeing the heavy police force, even his supporters could not muster the courage to protest. According to the report filed by Sub-Inspector Rahul Tiwari posted in the police station regarding the attack on the police, it has been said that these people came together on Wednesday. They had weapons. After reaching the police station, they started pelting stones.
