Anil Malviya, Ichhawar. A case of assault on a lineman of the electricity department has come to light in Ichhawar, Madhya Pradesh. The lineman had gone to collect the outstanding electricity bill, but the consumer assaulted him. The name of the accused is said to be Hakim. After the incident, when the department employees including the AE reached the police station to lodge a report, the TI chased the employee away instead of writing the report.

The case is of Ichhawar police station area. The victim employee says that the police did not take any action. After this, he also gave a memorandum to the SDM regarding action. No action was taken there either. Angry with no action being taken against the accused, the employees of the electricity department stopped work. AE Yogendra Chaudhary of the electricity distribution company said that lineman Anil Verma had gone to Hakim’s house in Kolipura to collect the electricity bill, when Hakim beat up the lineman. The employees allege that the police have not taken any action yet.
