Chief Justice Ravi Malimath said that in the year 2047, India will celebrate the 100th anniversary of its independence in which we hope and expect that the Madhya Pradesh Judiciary and the judicial community will also contribute in making the year 2047 a success. This can ensure that the hearing of any case in Madhya Pradesh is completed within one year of its filing. In this way, no case should remain pending for more than one year after its registration.
The years 2022 and 2023 will be known in judicial history
Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court Ravi Malimath has identified and resolved many shortcomings in the Madhya Pradesh High Court and District Court during the year 2022 and 2023. Along with this, many initiatives were taken to speed up the work as well as schemes and improvement works were launched. The Chief Justice said that in the year 2023, this is the first time in the history of Madhya Pradesh that the District Judiciary has recorded history in settling the cases pending for more than 5 years. Told that in the year 2022, the District Court stood second in disposal of cases more than 5 years old, whereas in the year 2022, the High Court stood third in disposal of cases pending for more than five years. Congratulated the senior advocates and colleagues of the state judiciary and district court for their hard work for this achievement.
A total of 3 lakh 93 thousand 391 cases were resolved: On this occasion, Chief Justice Ravi Malimath said that in the year 2022-23, a total of 93 lakh 93 thousand 391 cases were resolved by the District Court and the High Court together, Chief Justice Ravi Malimath Said that it is a matter of regret that the cases registered since the year 1960 had not been resolved till now, including the cases of the decade of 60, especially 1962, 1964, 1966, 1969, 1970, 1980, 1990 and 2000. This issue could not be resolved till now and has now been resolved.
Committee formed to settle the pending case
The Chief Justice has constituted a committee to ensure that no stone is left unturned in disposal of pending cases. The blueprint has been prepared by the Chief Justice himself. This committee will include the Chief Justice, advocates, academicians and stakeholders who will work in the direction that any case in the state can be resolved within one year of its being registered.
