Sudhir Dandotia, Bhopal. The bail plea of Saurabh Sharma, former constable of the Transport Department of Madhya Pradesh and his partner Sharad Jaiswal has been rejected. The ED was heard in the Special Court on Wednesday. The court had reserved the decision for a day after hearing the arguments of both the sides of the Enforcement Directorate and the lawyers of Saurabh-Sharad. The court of Special Judge Sachin Kumar Ghosh has refused to grant bail.
The ED had registered a case in the state’s much talked about 52 kg gold and 11 crore cash case. Saurabh Sharma’s mother Uma Sharma, wife Divya Sharma, Mausare Jija Vinay Hanswani and brother -in -law Rohit Tiwari have been granted bail from the Enforcement Directorate court. Special Judge Sachin Kumar Ghosh has been granted bail from the court on a bond of 10 lakhs. At the same time, Saurabh Sharma and Sharad Jaiswal also filed bail. While hearing this, Special Judge Sachin Kumar Ghosh has refused to grant bail to the accused in view of the seriousness of the crime.

Let us tell you that the ED had arrested the three on a seven -day remand from the court while being in judicial custody from the Central Jail. During this time, he had long interrogation. So far, the ED has attached and seized a total of Rs 100.36 crore in this case. At the same time, the Lokayukta police could not present the challan against Saurabh, Chetan and Sharad in 60 days. Due to which all three have got bail in the Lokayukta police case.

The ED had taken major action in the money laundering case. Saurabh Sharma, former constable of the Transport Department, is accused of incorrectly made assets worth crores. He bought this property in the name of himself and his relatives. Investigation revealed that the 11 crore cash and 52 kg of gold from the Innova car of a person named Chetan Singh Gaur was of Saurabh Sharma.
