Collision between truck and auto in village Chainpura. Two people traveling in the auto died on the spot. Nine members of the troupe were traveling in the auto.
Naiduniya Representative, Damoh. There was a massive collision between a truck and an auto late on Wednesday night near village Chainpura located in Batiagarh police station area of the district. In this accident, two people traveling in the auto died and seven were injured.

Since the condition of two of the injured was critical, they were referred to Jabalpur. The remaining are being treated in the district hospital of Damoh. As soon as information about the incident was received, Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochhar and Superintendent of Police Shrut Kirti Somvanshi and other officers also reached the spot.

According to the information, nine members of the troupe were coming to Damoh by auto from Malwari of Batiagarh to sing hymns in the pandal of the goddess statue enshrined at Rai intersection of Damoh. On the way, the auto was hit by a speeding truck near Chainpura.
In this accident, bhajan singers Devaki Patel and Pushpendra Tiwari died on the spot. While seven other people were injured. After the incident the truck driver fled from the spot. Police have registered the case and are searching for the accused truck driver.
Uncontrolled truck targeted half a dozen vehicles, one died
On Thursday, an uncontrolled truck hit more than half a dozen motorcycles and a car near Badi Banjari Mata Temple. One person died and four were seriously injured in this accident. After the accident, there was chaos among the devotees in the temple premises. The incident happened at 7.30 in the morning. There was a stampede after the accident. A person working in the temple premises died after being hit by a truck. While four people were injured, they have been brought to Sausar Hospital.
