Shabbir Ahmed, Bhopal. The code of conduct has come into force for the by-election on the most important Amarwara assembly seat of Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh. The nomination process for the Amarwara assembly seat will begin from tomorrow i.e. Friday.
Actually, by-elections are to be held on Amarwada assembly seat of Chhindwara district. Filled nomination papers will be sent from tomorrow. The last date for filing nomination is 21st June. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on 24th June. While 26th June is the last date for withdrawal of nomination.
The Election Commission has fixed July 10 as the date of voting for the by-election in Amarwara. Apart from this, the counting of votes will take place on July 13. The code of conduct has been in force in the Amarwara assembly constituency since June 10.
Here, as soon as the election was announced, Congress has sent two in-charges to select the candidate. Both the in-charges will take feedback from the workers and ground level and submit a report to the PCC chief. The names will be proposed to the central organization by the state Congress.
At the same time, the ticket of former MLA Amarwada Kamlesh Shah, who joined BJP from Congress, is almost certain. It is worth noting that before the Lok Sabha elections, Congress MLA from Amarwada Kamlesh Shah had resigned and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.
