BJP candidate Kamlesh Shah has submitted his nomination yesterday in the presence of CM Dr. Mohan Yadav and BJP state president VD Sharma. On the other hand, Congress has not yet announced the name of its candidate. It is being told that the party may give ticket to Naveen Markam from Amarwara assembly seat.
Let us tell you that Naveen Markam is a Zila Panchayat member. If Congress shows confidence in him, he will face Congress MLA Kamlesh Shah who has now joined BJP. This by-election is being held because Kamlesh Shah left Congress and joined BJP.

To spoil the equation between BJP and Congress, Gondwana Ganatantra Party has also fielded its candidate in the election. The party has given ticket to Dev Ravan Bhalavi. Dev Ravan Bhalavi has earlier contested assembly elections twice and Lok Sabha elections once.
