Well prepared with MNREGA open new way of livelihood

The well made of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MNREGA) of 46-year-old Smt. Umind Kunwar, resident of Gram Panchayat Sonbacharwar under Pendra development block of Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district, has become a support for livelihood, due to which income from vegetable cultivation at home A new source has also been found. At the same time, the problem of Nistari has also been solved. Rural life is being strengthened continuously due to MGNREGA. Under this scheme, the livelihood of farmers and animal husbandry is getting better through other beneficiary oriented works including wells, ponds, cattle sheds, orchards. Through the scheme, villagers and farmers are also getting employment in approved works in their own private land. After the construction of a well in MNREGA for Mrs. Umind Kunwar Ghar ki Bari, now she does not have to travel far to get water to meet her daily needs like before. After the well was built, their life became easy. She is also taking production of different types of vegetables from this well in her bari of 50 decimils. Smt. Umind Kunwar told that she is feeling proud of herself with the assets built in her name from MNREGA. She is survived by two children apart from her husband Shri Kalvan Kunwar. The family has about 2 acres of cultivation for a living. One acre of land has also been received from the state government under forest rights lease, in which they grow paddy. Apart from this, Mahatma Gandhi also goes to work with her husband in addition to the works opened in NREGA. Mrs. Kunwar told that with the approval of the construction of the well, she felt that now she also has her own property. This has increased his respect. He told that for the first time after the construction of the well, he is taking vegetable-vegetable production in his garden, in which about 2 decimils of garlic, 6 decimils of tomatoes and 5 decimils potatoes have been planted. Apart from this, they are also producing red bhaji, bhanta (brinjal) and chilli in the bari from the water of the well. She says that she is currently using the initial production for the home.
