There is influence of nature in their traditions, religious events, folk dances, culture. For the modern society, nature is only the environment and they prove their worth only by conquering nature, whereas for the tribal community, nature is revered. They consider themselves to be an integral part of it. Tribal community also needs to preserve and take pride in their traditions, culture, dialect. The traditional knowledge of the community should also be transferred to the younger generation of today. Baiga tribal society has a special contribution in tribal tradition and culture. This community is benefitting the tribal society by using its special traditional herbal knowledge from generation to generation. The Governor also assured to fulfill the demands made by Baiga tribal society after considering them meaningfully. Governor Ms. Uike said that Baiga is one of the 7 special backward tribes of our state. When we talk about the development of tribal communities, definitely priority should be given to the special backward tribes. Various schemes are being run by the government for the upliftment of the tribes. Development agencies have also been formed. Despite this, even today, cent percent availability of education, health and basic needs has not been ensured for these tribes. He said that majority of the Baiga tribal population is still illiterate. According to statistics, the number of women in Baiga is more than men, but only 25 percent of women have become literate, which is one of the reasons for the backwardness of this tribe. Therefore, we need to make serious efforts in this direction. Even due to illiteracy, this society is not able to be aware of its constitutional and legal rights. Their standard of living can be improved by educating them only through awareness. Governor Ms. Uikey said that nineteen districts in Chhattisgarh come under scheduled area. A provision of PESA law has been made in these areas. According to the rules of the Central Government, the special backward tribe residents have been given the provision of direct recruitment in jobs. He said that public hearings should be organized in 15 days to hear the problems of particular backward tribes, so that the people living in Vananchal can get information about government schemes. He said that in tribal dominated areas, special provisions have been mentioned under the fifth schedule of the constitution. It should be ensured that the tribal community is not deprived of their constitutionally guaranteed rights. Efforts should be made to make them aware of the rights given to them by the constitution so that they get protection from special provisions like Fifth Schedule.
