Nasir Hakimuddin, Mahasamund. Anti-social elements set fire by spraying petrol late on Friday-Saturday in native and English liquor shops located in Bemcha and Ekta Chowk in Mahasamund district. Those who carried out this incident put petrol inside the shop with the help of ladder and set fire to the shop. On receiving the information of the incident, the fire brigade reached and the fire was controlled, but by then the goods kept in the shop were burnt.
According to the information, the guards present in the shop heard suspicious voices at around 3 o’clock last night and saw two people running away with the ladder. On the noise of the guards, he panicked and escaped leaving the ladder. The guard immediately informed the officers and the police.

Police have recovered two plastic zerkin, a pipe and a cigarette lighter from the spot. Initial investigation is believed to have set fire to the shop by putting petrol from the shop light and escaped.
