Urges the members of the Task Force to give practical suggestions for “Social Security, Women’s Empowerment and Labor Welfare”

The first meeting of the Task Force constituted on the subject of “Social Security, Women Empowerment and Workers Welfare” of the State Planning Commission was held under the chairmanship of Shri Ruchir Garg, Advisor to the Chief Minister. Addressing the members present in the meeting, Shri Ruchir Garg, Advisor to the Chief Minister, said that the task forces constituted by the Planning Commission revolve around the motto ‘Gadbo Nava Chhattisgarh’. It has been constituted keeping in focus the citizen centric approach, agricultural development, betterment of the economy, honor, respect and self-respect of the people of Chhattisgarh, empowerment of women and weaker sections, reaching the last person in the last row etc. He urged the members of the task force and working group to give effective and implementable practical suggestions for the development of the state. Dr. K. Addressing the meeting, Subramaniam said that after the approval of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the commission has constituted task forces on 14 subjects related to the development of the state. In which subject-experts from the country and the state have been included. A task force has also been constituted by the commission on social security, women empowerment and labor welfare, under the task force 05 working groups have been constituted for women empowerment, labor welfare, disability welfare, rehabilitation of transgender persons, senior citizens and destitute homeless beggars and Issues related to rehabilitation of drug victims and their terms of reference have also been prescribed. The chairmen of the working group expected active cooperation from the departments for information about the government’s manifesto, the current status of the state on related issues, status in sustainable development goals, schemes and programs run by the department, availability of resources, etc. It was decided in the meeting that a working group-wise meeting of the working group constituted under the task force would be held soon and the report of the task force would be presented with concrete suggestions.
