Sanction has been given to send 3 lakh 23 thousand vaccines to Chhattisgarh by the Central Government. In the first batch, on Wednesday, the vaccine named Kovishield may come to Chhattisgarh which is certified by ICMR. The vaccine will reach Chhattisgarh by flight, after which they will be kept at the State Vaccine Center. For this, one state level, three regional and 27 district level cold chain points have been created.
630 active cold chain point and more than 85 thousand liters of cold chain space are ready for storage and logistics of vaccines in the state. Along with this, 81 additional cold chain points have also been established. There are 1311 cold-boxes available for transport of the vaccine.
For the storage of syringes, needles and other resources, 360 dry-storage has also been made across the state. 1349 centers have been identified for vaccination in the state. Where a total of two lakh 67 thousand health workers, state and central employees and the armed forces will be vaccinated in the next few months. The vaccine will be vaccinated in 99 centers on 16 January, the first day of the vaccine launch. Kovid-19 vaccination has been rehearsed at 83 places in all 28 districts.
