Ramkinkar Badge was born on 20 May 1910 in Bankura, West Bengal, to an economically and socially wealthy family. With his determination, he became one of the iconic early modern artists of Indian art. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan by the Central Government in the year 1970 for his incredible contribution to Indian art. Ramkinkar’s monumental artifacts set a different paradigm in public art. Ramkinkar Badge was born on 20 May 1910. The same death occurred on August 2, 1980. He was a famous sculptor of India. He was counted among the pioneers of modern Indian sculpture.
