Satya Rajput, Raipur. In Chhattisgarh, Superspeciality, PG and MBBS doctors are facing many serious problems like bond posting, economic pressure and administrative delay. To resolve these issues, Chhattisgarh Doctors Federation has submitted a memorandum to Commissioner Medical Education Chhattisgarh.
These are the main problems not to use expertise in bond posting: PG doctors are being appointed in PHC/CHC, where their expertise is not fully used. Due to this, there is a shortage of specialist doctors in district hospitals and medical colleges. High bond amount and mortgage obligation: MBBS and PG doctors have to deposit a bond amount of ₹ 25 lakh and ₹ 50 lakh respectively, which requires property mortgage. It is economically highly cumbersome for lower and middle class students. Delay in bond posting: Many doctors who have passed PG exam in January 2025 are still waiting for bond posting, which affects both their livelihood and experience. Lack of superspellity cadre: There is a shortage of superspeciality doctors in the state, mainly due to low salary and not being superspensive cadre. Construction of superspeciality cadre is necessary on the lines of other states such as Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. These are the major demands in bond posting PG doctors should be appointed in medical colleges or district hospitals according to their expertise. Bonds and mortgage conditions should be lax in the terms of bonds, so that even financially weak students can get higher education. The process of bond posting should be accelerated, so that doctors can get timely appointment. Superspeciality cadre should be formed in the state, so that specialist doctors can get proper respect and salary.
