Under the National Rural Livelihood Mission “Bihaan” in the district, women of women self-help groups are earning a lot from the collection and trade of Sitaphal from the forests. On the initiative of Collector Ms. Richa Prakash Choudhary, under the leadership of Project Director District Panchayat (DRDA) Mr. RK Khunte, the women of the district are collecting Sitaphal from the jungles. After the collection, the grading of the leaf fruit is being sent to the local market and Bilaspur wholesale market and to Amarkantak and Anuppur districts of neighboring states.
