Nitin Namdev, Raipur. Local people blocked the roads demanding the removal of illegal Dewar Dera settlement and liquor shop from Lalpur area of the capital. Local people say that people of illegal Dewar Dera settlement beat up people passing by, due to which passersby and local people are troubled. After the protest of local people, police reached the spot and shifted 40 to 50 families who had camped there to Boria Khurd.
The people of Lalpur and Kamal Vihar have accused the people of Dewar Dera of assaulting and looting them on a daily basis. Last night, the local people were assaulted in which two youths were injured and have been admitted to the hospital.
In this case, CSP Rajesh Devangan said, some people were living here by making a camp, and the local people were blocking the roads demanding their removal. The people living here are being removed from here. A place has been established for them in Boria Khurd. Many times information was received that people beat up the people coming and going. Also, three-four people were found involved in an incident yesterday. After this, people are being removed from here. There are 40 to 50 families, who will be shifted to residential houses in Boria Khurd.
