Mayors of 12 municipal corporations of Chhattisgarh had a courtesy call on Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in the Central Hall of the assembly complex here today. He congratulated and congratulated Chief Minister Mr. Baghel for presenting the welfare budget for the financial year 2022-23. On this occasion, Urban Administration and Development Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Dahria, Revenue Minister Mr. Jaisingh Agarwal, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Chandradev Rai, MLAs Mr. Vinay Jaiswal and Mr. Devendra Yadav along with Raipur Municipal Corporation Mayor Mr. Ejaz Dhebar, Durg Mayor Mr. Dheeraj Bakliwal, Korba Mayor Mr. Raj Kishore Prasad, Chirmiri Mayor Mrs. Kanchan Jaiswal, Bhilai Mayor Mr. Neeraj Pal, Bhilaicharoda Mayor Mr. Nirmal Kosare, Risali Mayor Mrs. Shashi Sinha, Dhamtari Mayor Mrs. Vijay Devangan, Jagdalpur Mayor Mrs. Safira Sahu, Rajnandgaon Mayor Mrs. Hema Deshmukh, Raigad Mayor Mrs. Janki Bai Katju and Birgaon Mayor Mr. Nandlal Devangan were present. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has made a provision of Rs 450 crore under the schemes “Mor Zameen Mor Makaan” and “Mor Makaan Mor Chinhari” to provide housing to urban poor families in the state budget for the financial year 2022-23. . A provision of Rs.30 crore has been made in the grant head for water supply scheme in urban bodies and Rs.55 crore for loan. Similarly, in order to give impetus to economic activities in the budget, it has been announced to reduce the offset value of property of urban bodies by 30 percent from the rate prescribed in the Collector’s guideline. Apart from this, a provision of Rs 200 crore has been made for providing clean and safe water in cities and tap connections to all houses under Mission AMRUT 2.0 and Rs 380 crore in the water augmentation scheme of urban bodies. A provision of Rs 20 crore has been made for the establishment of sewerage treatment plants at Korba, Dantewada, Sakti, Shivrinarayan and Chandrapur. In view of the success of Dai-Didi Clinic scheme operated through 60 mobile ambulances in 14 municipal corporations under Mukhyamantri Urban Slum Health Scheme, Chief Minister Shri Baghel announced to implement it for all municipalities and municipalities of the state.
