The main function of 71st Republic Day will be held in Dr. Shobharam Dewangan School Campus

In today’s deadline meeting, Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat, Shri Mayank Chaturvedi reviewed in detail the preparations and responsibilities entrusted to the departments of the National Republic Day to be celebrated on 26th January. In this meeting convened at the Collectorate meeting from 11 am, he handed over various responsibilities to the officers for the smooth running of the program and directed them to follow it seriously.
It was informed at the meeting that flag hoisting will be done by Parliamentary Secretary Shri Chandradev Prasad Rai at the main function of the 71st Republic Day to be held in the Eklavya Sports Complex of Dr. Shobharam Dewangan Government Higher Secondary School located at the district headquarters. The ceremony will be saluted by a contingent of district police force and city soldier. In view of Kovid 19 this year, only the District Police Force and the city troop will give a parade and salute to the tricolor at the Republic Day celebrations. People from other security forces will not attend the parade. This time the martyrs and freedom fighters will not be invited to the main venue for the main function to be held in the district, but they will be honored by senior officers after reaching their homes and offering them shawls, quince etc.
Tableau will not be performed by any department in the main function this time. Besides, cultural programs will not be held in any function of the main venue, section level programs, schools and panchayats. Flag hoisting program in schools will be conducted in the presence of school teacher and staff, children will not be invited here. Also, Prabhat Pheri of children will not be taken out in any place of the district. Keeping in mind the corona transition, following the social distance between the chairs in the venue, all participants will ensure the use of masks and sanitizers and instructions have been given to ensure sanitization of all chairs in the venue. This time the entry to the main venue will be through a single door, which will be screened with a thermal screener. It has been ordered in the meeting that people who have a cold, cough, fever will not attend the flag hoisting of the government office, the main venue, in their workplace and will inform the office head of their absence. Apart from this, instructions have been given to Sub Divisional Magistrate Dhamtari and Executive Engineer of Public Works Department to ensure strict adherence to measures to avoid corona infection where the circuit house / rest house will be stayed. At the meeting, Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat Mr. Chaturvedi said that the 71st Republic Day celebrations should be celebrated with gaiety and grandeur, but with simplicity and national spirit. Its last rehearsal will be held at 9 am on January 24 in the presence of the Collector and Superintendent of Police.
