Thanking the government for receiving the first installment of Kisan Nyaya Yojana, Shri Rajesh Toppo, a resident of village Singhetana of Lakhanpur development block, said that this amount will help in the preparation of Kharif crop cultivation. He told that in summer he does vegetable cultivation with the help of solar pump, which helps in the preparation of kharif farming, but this time due to the lockdown, the vegetable could not get the proper price and suffered losses. Meanwhile, the payment of the amount of Kisan Nyay Yojana by the state government like last year will help in the preparation of farming. Farmer Rajesh told that under the Kisan Nyaya Yojana, the first installment amount has been received at 4 thousand rupees. There is joy among the farmers of the district after getting the amount of Kisan Nyay Yojana.
Farmer Mr. Rajesh Toppo told that he has about 6 acres of cultivated land in which he cultivates paddy during the Kharif season. This year, about 34 quintals of paddy have been sold in Lahpatra committee for support price. He informed that under the Solar Sujala scheme, solar pumps have also been installed in the field, which provides irrigation facilities. He said that he lives in a joint family and has 8 members in the family. Farming is the main source of livelihood.
It is noteworthy that the State Government has transferred the first installment of Kisan Nyaya Yojana for the year 2020-21 to their bank accounts on May 21. This year Kisan, Kutki, Ragi, pulses, oilseeds, aromatic paddy cultivation and planting of papaya, munga and bamboo will be given a subsidy of 9 to 10 thousand rupees through agricultural inputs to encourage farmers. For this, farmers will have to register on Kisan Nyaya Yojana portal from June 1 to September 30, 2021.
