Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Minorities Commission Mr. Mahendra Chhabra, Vice President Mr. Hafiz Khan and Secretary Mr. M.R. Khan held a meeting of officers at the District Office Kanker today and reviewed the implementation of the schemes being run for the minorities in detail and expressed happiness over the work done in the district. In the meeting, Parliamentary Secretary and MLA Mr. Shishupal Shorey, District Panchayat President Mr. Hemant Dhruv, Collector Dr. Priyanka Shukla, Superintendent of Police Shalabh Kumar Sinha, Divisional Forest Officer Alok Bajpai, Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat Sumit Agarwal, Assistant Commissioner of Tribal Development Department All the district officers including Shrikant Kaser were present. The Prime Minister’s new 15-point program for minorities, Women and Child Development, Health Department, District Panchayat, Social Welfare, Tribal Welfare Department, Police Department, Municipality, Higher Education, conducted by Minority Commission Chairman Mr. Mahendra Chhabra and Vice-Chairman Hafiz Khan. A detailed review of the implementation of the schemes run by the departments of School Education, Industrial Finance Development Corporation etc. was done and instructions were given to take the benefit of the schemes to the last person of the society. Expressing satisfaction over better implementation of schemes in the district, he said that special efforts should be made to get rid of malnutrition. Expressing happiness over the reduction of 03 percent malnutrition rate in Kanker district, he said that awareness camps should be organized in minority-dominated areas. All eligible students should be benefited from the scholarship scheme. Under the Saraswati Cycle Yojana, cycles should be distributed to girl students within the time limit. Under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Mass Marriage Scheme, maximum number of minority class beneficiaries were asked to be benefitted and electricity, water etc. facilities should be provided in the cemetery and instructions were given to maintain mutual communication in the society. Suraji Gram Yojana, an innovative initiative of the district administration, was also praised by him. District Panchayat President Mr. Hemant Dhruv also kept his views. Collector Dr. Priyanka Shukla assured the chairman and vice-chairman of the Minorities Commission that better implementation of schemes would be done in the district. Continue Reading
