A ten-day grand exhibition-cum-sale of handicrafts and handloom fabrics is being organized by the Chhattisgarh Handicrafts Development Board on the occasion of Diwali at Haat Complex, Pandri. This exhibition will be the center of attraction for the people of the capital during this festive season. The main objective of this exhibition is to provide better market for handicraftsmen and weavers. In this exhibition, which will run till October 21, 35 craftsmen of Chhattisgarh’s famous handicrafts, iron craft, wood craft, bamboo craft, carpet craft, shisal craft, tattoo craft, tuma craft, terracotta craft and except bronze and handloom textiles were selected. There will be 25 weavers’ committees with sarees, dupatta, salwar suits, dress material, bedsheets and different types of readymade garments. Similarly, 10 Matikala craftsmen, 2 Khadi board and 1 Bilasa beneficiaries will be able to display-cum-sell their art along with their products, with various decorative items of Mati craft, useful materials. In the ten-day handicrafts and handloom exhibition, home-useful and decoration materials will be available to the customers at reasonable prices as per their choice.
