Secretary, School Education Department, Dr. S. Bharti Dasan, while inaugurating the training session of English medium school teachers in SIRD, while stating the purpose of English medium school said that the students are to be made academically excellent. He said that the children of poor families can also get good education, they can also get good education through English medium. Dr. Dasan said that all children are good, all have ability, if something is not being learned then the teacher needs to assess himself. To teach discipline to the children, discipline itself has to be followed. No person is perfect, but teachers can try to bring children closer to perfect. He said that this training would be helpful in capacity development of teachers. The training of teachers of Swami Atmanand English Medium School started today at five places- SCERT, CTE, DIET, KITE and Thakur Pyarelal Rural Development Institute (SIRD) simultaneously in the capital. 500 teachers are getting training at these places. In the training, teachers are being trained in professional competence, language proficiency, leadership management skills. While addressing the newly appointed teachers, Special Secretary, School Education Department, Mr. Rajesh Singh Rana said that it is a matter of pride to be appointed in the school started under Swami Atmanand Utkrisht Yojana. This is a high priority program of the state and you are an important part of it. He said that children learn only by watching the teachers. Therefore, first of all, teachers have to bring changes in dress, behavior and will have to interact at the level of the child. Teachers have to adopt a positive approach instead of negativity. Shri Rana said that children learn what they see. The teacher has to put into practice what he wants to give to the child. Recalling his school time, he said that I still remember the conduct of the teacher whom I have learned by watching. Mr. Rana said that children should not be made robots. Attention has to be paid on how to inculcate moral education in children. He said that it is also mentioned in the National Education Policy. Shri Rana said that there is no lack of confidence in the teachers, only they should be given training opportunities. With this, arrangements have been made by SCERT for talks, cultural programs and yoga in various subjects. Additional Director of School Education Department, Dr. Yogesh Shivhare, inaugurated the training session at the SCERT center located at Shankarnagar. Mr. Rana answered the questions asked by the participants and encouraged the teachers for the upcoming session.
