Strict action will be taken on the sale of illegal, raw and adulterated liquor

In Chhattisgarh, along with the sale of illegal and raw liquor, strict action will be taken against those selling adulterated liquor, for this an intensive campaign will be launched by the Excise Department. It is noteworthy that the Excise Minister Shri Kawasi Lakhma has given instructions to the departmental officers to take strict action on the sale of illicit liquor. On his instructions, today the Secretary of Excise Department, Mr. Niranjan Das took a meeting of the departmental officers and directed them to stop these cases by taking strict action. He said that if the involvement of departmental officers and employees is found in these works, strict action would be taken against them as well. Excise Secretary Shri Das also discussed with the officials the issue of increasing the revenue of the Excise Department. He said that country-foreign liquor shops should be composited. Similarly, stock of the respective brand should be kept in these shops according to the demand. FIR should be lodged in cases of adulterated liquor and overrating. He said that if overrate liquor is being sold in country-foreign liquor shops, action will be taken against the concerned employee for dismissal. Strict action will also be taken against the concerned officers protecting these cases. Excise Secretary Shri Niranjan Das said that liquor coming into Chhattisgarh illegally from other states should also be strictly controlled. Special vigil should be kept for this in the border districts of the state. He also directed to increase the number of checkposts in coordination with the local police officers. He said that the liquor brought from other states hidden in passenger and transport vehicles should also be monitored. In the meeting, Excise Secretary Shri Das informed that a laboratory has been set up for testing the poisonous quantity in illegal, raw and adulterated liquor. While making cases of illicit liquor, it should be ensured to put in the laboratory test report of the liquor. In the meeting, Special Secretary of Excise Department and Managing Director of Chhattisgarh State Marketing Corporation Limited, Shri A.P. Tripathi, Additional Commissioner Shri R.S.
