Under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, a meeting of the Governing Body of the State Level Health Committee of National Health Mission, Health and Family Welfare was held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan here today. The progress and action plans of various health programs and the new annual plan and various proposals under the National Health Mission were discussed in detail in the meeting. Principal Secretary Public Health and Family Welfare Dr. Maninder Kaur Dwivedi was also present in the meeting. In the meeting of the State Health Committee, the Chief Secretary directed the officials of the Health Department to work sensitively to benefit the people of the state under various health programs. The Chief Secretary discussed the various districts of the state where the National Highway passes. Instructions have been given to arrange trauma care there. Similarly, he directed to ensure proper action for publicity and testing and speedy treatment to prevent malaria in the villages of the districts of Bastar division. In the meeting, a proposal was passed to send the new annual plans for the years 2022-23 and 2023-24 under the National Health Mission for approval to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. In the meeting, the officials told that under the Malaria-free Chhattisgarh campaign, a campaign was launched in the districts of Bastar division, in which door-to-door malaria testing was done. All the patients found positive for malaria were treated. Similarly, one thousand 438 Haat Bazar clinics are functioning in the state under the Chief Minister Haat Bazar Clinic Scheme. More than 23 lakh 64 thousand people have been treated and medically examined in these clinics by the teams of doctors in the Haat Bazaars in different areas of the state. In the meeting, other national health programs including tuberculosis free program, family planning, national child health program were reviewed in detail.
