Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Umesh Patel attended the final match of Avinash Chhattisgarh Premier League T20 tournament organized in Bhilai under the joint aegis of Chhattisgarh Khel Congress and Veer Sports Club last day as chief guest. In the final match between Phil Fighter Bilaspur and Abujhmad Tigers, Abujhmad Tigers won the trophy by winning 5 wickets. Industries Minister Shri Kawasi Lakhma was present in the stadium to encourage the players and enjoyed the whole match. The winning team was presented with a trophy and Rs 5 lakh from Heera Group, Rs 2.5 lakh from RR Realtors to the runner-up team and the trophy by the Sports Minister Mr. Patel. In the final match, Abujhmad Tigers team won the toss and decided to field. In this match of 20 overs, Phil Fighter Bilaspur, batting first, scored 141 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. The excitement in the game continued till the last ball which was thoroughly enjoyed by the spectators. Chasing the score, the team of Abujhmad Tigers needed 7 runs in the last 6 balls, which the team chased down the last ball and clinched the title. The batsman of the winning team, K.S. Rathod was adjudged the man of the match. He also achieved success in performing all-rounder game, taking 69 runs in 54 balls and taking 2 wickets for 13 runs. On this occasion, Minister Shri Umesh Patel congratulated the players for their bright future and said that such platforms are being prepared not only for cricket but for all sports. In the coming time, work is being done on many schemes for the players. The Man of the Series title of the tournament went to K.S. Rathore got it. Who took 15 wickets in the tournament apart from 205 runs in the tournament Best Coach Vivek Rai, Best Emerging Player Dharmendra Oraon, Best Wicket Keeper Khitesh Murari, Best Fielder Dhananjay Netam, Most Runs Orange Cape Yashant Elmkar, Most Wickets Purple Cape Mohammad Aman, Best Chandrahas Verma got the catch of the catch.
