Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Bhure today reviewed the development plans run by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department in the district. Use of Vermi Compost made in Gothan in Rabi Farming- Collector Dr. Bhure gave instructions in the meeting to encourage farmers to make maximum use of Vermi Compost made in Gauthan in the crops to be planted in the current Rabi season. He also asked to ensure maximum offtake of Vermi compost made in Gauthans in the next ten days. Dr. Bhure directed the departments of agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, forest etc. to make result-oriented efforts in coordination with each other for making and lifting vermi compost. He also asked to start buying cow dung in all the Gauthans operating in the district. The Collector also directed to make all necessary arrangements to establish Gauthans as livelihood centers. He asked the under-construction Gauthans to complete the requirement by the end of next month. The Collector also gave instructions to the officers to activate the committees of Gauthans who buy less cow dung.
