Sowing of pulse crops has been done in 8,12,960 hectares in the state

The sowing of pulses crops along with other crops for the Rabi year 2021-22 is nearing completion in the state. Against the target of sowing pulses crops in 8 lakh 73 thousand 430 hectares in the Rabi season this year, so far 8 lakh 12 thousand 960 hectares of different types of pulses have been sown, out of which 2 lakh 66 thousand 680 have been sown. Tivda is sown in one hectare. According to the information received from the Agriculture Department, so far gram has been sown in 3 lakh 88 thousand 900 hectares, peas in 48 thousand 600 hectares, lentils in 32 thousand 30 hectares, moong in 27 thousand 680 hectares, urad in 20 thousand. Sowing has been done in 590 hectares, Tivda in 2 lakh 66 thousand 680 hectares, Kulthi in 31 thousand 790 hectares and other pulses in 6,690 hectares, which is 93 percent of the target.
