Solar energy is becoming a game changer in remote areas

New efforts are also being made in Chhattisgarh to deal with the challenges of global warming. The use of green energy is being promoted by the state government. In the new industry policy also, the establishment of units related to power generation from solar energy has been kept in the priority category. Solar energy is proving to be very helpful in improving the economic condition of the farmers living in remote forest areas of the state and the standard of living of the villagers. There are many parts of the state where electricity has not been arranged in the traditional way, solar pumps are proving to be a game changer in providing irrigation facilities to the farmers of those areas. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, the use of solar energy has increased rapidly in the forest areas of the state for irrigation facilities, drinking water system, electrification of villages and villages. In the last three years, irrigation facility has been provided in 70 thousand 800 hectares of additional land through solar pumps using solar energy, while drinking water is being supplied to more than 2 lakh 81 thousand 798 families and remote access un-electrified villages and Solar electrification has been done in 80 thousand 917 houses of Majre-tolas. In the last three years, 59 thousand solar agricultural pumps were installed in the state by CREDA. About 70,800 hectares of area has been irrigated by solar irrigation pumps. Including these, 96 thousand solar irrigation pumps of 3 and 5 horse power have been installed in the state so far in the last 5 years, due to which about one lakh 15 thousand 200 hectares of land has been irrigated. Solar Irrigation Community Project is being built near surface water source to provide irrigation facility to small and marginal farmers. 31 Solar Community Irrigation Projects were established in the last three years, through which about 977 farmers are getting the benefit of irrigation facility in 1250.49 hectares of land. 88 solar irrigation pumps have been installed in these projects. Including these, 306 solar irrigation pumps have been installed so far in 222 solar community irrigation projects in the state, through this, 2414 hectares of land of 2166 farmers are being irrigated. 88 large solar pumps have been installed to irrigate the located fields. Through which 1250.49 hectares of community agriculture area is being irrigated. Apart from this, arrangements have been made for drinking water for animals and irrigation facilities in pastures by installing solar pumps in 3083 Gauthans under Suraji Gaon Yojna Narva, Garwa, Ghurwa, Bari. So far 2489 solar pumps have been installed in Gauthans and 594 in pastures. Under the Solar Drinking Water Scheme, 24 hours pure drinking water is being provided to more than 2 lakh families by installing 4187 solar dual pumps in unreached villages in the last three years. Apart from this, arrangement has been made to supply pure drinking water through tap connections to the houses of rural areas by installing 2100 dual pumps under Jal Jeevan Mission. Under this scheme, drinking water is being supplied to households by installing 10 liters capacity water tanks at 12 meters and 9 meters height. 81,798 families are getting benefited under this scheme. In the last three years, 1415 solar highmast lights have been installed in 1350 villages and towns, square-squares, haat bazaars. Similarly, lighting arrangements have been made through solar lights in 80 thousand 917 houses of villages and Majre tolls in remote and unreachable areas where electricity cannot be supplied by pulling power lines. Including these, solar electrification of more than one lakh 38 thousand houses of 941 villages has been done through solar plants. 2.56 MW off-grid solar power plants have been set up for the provision of lighting in 458 health centers of the state. So far, electricity has been supplied to 1388 government health centers and hospitals in the state through solar lights, according to the arrangement of lighting, life saving machines and freezers have been supplied to keep vaccines safe, for this achievement, CREDA has been given electricity. Has been awarded with International Award. In remote areas of Chhattisgarh, where farmers are getting irrigation facility through solar pumps, drinking water facility is also being available to the villagers. Farmers in these areas are now taking double crop, due to which their income is increasing significantly.
