So far 4.43 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased in the state, one lakh 38 thousand 651 farmers have sold paddy

So far, 04 lakh 43 thousand 441 metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased at support price for the Kharif marketing year 2021-22 in the state under paddy procurement which started from December 1. In these three days, 1,38,651 farmers have sold their paddy at the procurement centers on support price. Farmers are reaching the procurement centers to sell paddy on token basis. According to the instructions of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, senior administrative officers are constantly visiting the paddy procurement centers to take stock of the arrangement of paddy procurement and the convenience of the farmers in the procurement centers. Along with the procurement of paddy, millers have also started lifting paddy from the committees so that along with the purchase of paddy, the custom milling work can be done smoothly in the state. For this, 1959 rice millers have been registered in the state. Till now millers have got DO of 17 thousand 871 metric tonnes for lifting of paddy. has also been issued, in lieu of which millers have also started lifting paddy.
