Skill training under Jal Jeevan Mission

Fifth skill development training of pump operator, electrician, plumber and helper was given for better operation of tap water scheme operated in villages under retrofitting scheme in various gram panchayats of Balodabazar-Bhatapara district by Public Health Engineering Department. Under the retrofitting scheme, pump operators, electricians, plumbers and helpers were involved in the operation of the tap water scheme operated in the villages of Gram Panchayat Ahilda, Lahoud, Mohtrara, Munda, Sonadih, Rasedi, Damru and Dharsiv. In the training, the quality and importance of water was told by testing the water by the insect of FT. After air, water is the only thing affecting human health. Water has a direct effect on our health. For this reason, we are advised to drink pure and clean water just like clean air. Under the government’s ambitious Jal Jeevan Mission scheme, women are being trained in every village to check the purity and quality of water. After training, women will be able to check the quality of water on their own. FTK i.e. Field Test Kit will help women in this investigation. The present trainees were discussed about the purpose and working style of Jal Jeevan Mission, not wasting water and its publicity. Information was given regarding the purpose and solution of various types of problems on the ground as well as water quality. At present, special discussions were held with the participants, chief guest, special guest and the officers present of the department regarding the importance of water. After the training, certificates were distributed to the trainees. In the program, mainly Jal Jeevan Mission Executive Engineer and Member Secretary, District Water and Sanitation and Assistant R.K.
