Shaheed Nand Kumar Patel Government College will play an important role in the spread of education in labor-dominated areas like Birgaon.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today inaugurated the newly constructed building of Shaheed Nand Kumar Patel Government College here. He said that with this new building constructed at a cost of Rs 4 crore 27 lakh, the college would play an important role in the spread of education in the area. He said that today is the second day of Navratri. The new building of the college is being inaugurated from today. He extended his congratulations and best wishes to all the students, professors, parents and residents of Birgaon area. He said that this college was established in the year 2017 The Chief Minister said that the State Government is committed for the interest of all sections including farmers, labourers, unemployed. He said that in order to keep the name of Shaheed Nand Kumar Patel alive, the State Government has named the University in Raigad, College here at Birgaon and Chowk in Naya Raipur. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Baghel announced the leveling of Birgaon College campus, building for Swami Atmanand English School and installation of a statue of Shaheed Patel in the college. He said that the quality of education would not be compromised. Educate the children in this way. That there should be a discussion about the education here in the country. The Chief Minister while praising all the professors of the college said that even in the midst of inconveniences, they worked hard to provide quality education to the children. As a result of this, the number of students in this college has increased continuously and today this number has reached to about 1000 students. The number of girl students in this college is more than the number of students. It is a matter of great happiness that girls and their Parents are aware about higher education. He said that Swami Atmanand School is also running in this building. In this way the residents of the area are getting double benefit of this building. He also expressed his gratitude towards the industries and said that the CSR item has helped in the construction of various facilities in this college. Approval of 13 lakh 56 thousand has also been given from DMF for construction of compound in the college. 24 lakh 87 thousand rupees have also been made available to the District Education Officer from DMF head for furniture, lab and library in Swami Atmanand Vidyalaya. On this occasion, college magazine Prerna was released and Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club was also given a token check of Rs.25 thousand for the first installment. Higher Education Minister Shri Umesh Patel said that building is being constructed on priority for the college without building in the state. New dimensions have to be created in the field of education. Water, electricity and other facilities are easily available to the people of the area. On this occasion, Chairman of State Mineral Development Corporation Mr. Girish Devangan, Mayor Mr. Nand Lal Devangan, Chairman of District Co-Operative Central Bank Mr. Pankaj Sharma, Vice-Chancellor Mr. Keshari Lal Verma, Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, corporators, public representatives, parents, students.
