A special webinar was organized by Samagra Shiksha – Korea and Sri Aurobindo Society to discuss – detailed discussion on National Education Policy – 2020 and prepare teachers for its successful implementation. Shri Sanjay Gupta, District Education Officer, Korea, Chhattisgarh and Shri Ajay Mishra, District Mission Coordinator, Korea, Chhattisgarh were the chief guests in the online conference. Distinguished guests included Mr. Rajkumar Chapekar, Assistant Program Coordinator, Korea, Chhattisgarh and Mr. Ashok Sharma, Head of National Training, Rupantar, Mr. Arvind Society.
Addressing the education officers and teachers in the program, the chief guest Mr. Sanjay Gupta said that keeping in mind the future challenges and requirements, the new National Education Policy-2020 has been created. “Establishing social and economic equality with emphasis on all-round development of the students is one of the highlights of the new National Education Policy. It is our endeavor that teachers at all levels should understand the policy and implement it successfully. We are glad that Sri Aurobindo Society is working to take every aspect of the National Education Policy in detail to the teachers.”
The other chief guest in the program, Shri Ajay Mishra, while highlighting the main points of the policy said that we are hopeful of a positive change from the new education policy. “While it may take us some time to see the impact of the new education policy, students and teachers will surely benefit from it. For the implementation of this policy, it is important that teachers understand their role and contribute. This policy will strengthen the foundation of a progressive society.” Along with this, the chief guest also visited Shri Arvind Society and HDFC. He also appreciated the zero investment innovation program in education being run in collaboration with the bank and appealed to the teachers to cooperate with the work of the institute.
On this occasion, while calling upon the teachers to actively participate in the webinar, Shri Rajkumar Chapekar, Assistant Program Coordinator, Korea, Chhattisgarh said that it is the duty of the teachers to make education joyful, relevant and experiential, it is necessary that they follow the new National Education Policy. Follow the instructions given in it and make learning new interesting.
Ashok Sharma, National Training Head, Shri Arvind Society, who attended the webinar as a special guest, said, “The new education policy gives an opportunity to the students to identify their natural talents and qualities. It is the responsibility of the teachers to provide opportunities to the students to understand and hone their inner qualities. The important thing is also that education should make the students happy and excited, they should not be burdened to come to school. Therefore it is necessary that the primary teachers, who lay the foundation of education, understand the new education policy in detail and move forward to implement it.
