Raipur, 29 November 2024/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai reviewed in detail the road safety scenario of the state and measures to control road accidents in the meeting of Chhattisgarh State Road Safety Council held at his residence office today. He said in the meeting that to control road accidents, use of helmet for two-wheeler drivers and seat belt for four-wheeler drivers and strict adherence to road safety and traffic rules while driving should be ensured. For this, public awareness campaign should be run effectively.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said to speed up the improvement work of black spots on the roads to prevent road accidents, organize regular meetings of District Road Safety Committee, complete the work of Trauma Stabilization Units under construction for the treatment of persons injured in road accidents as soon as possible. Gave instructions to do. In the meeting, the Chief Minister launched the “Bus Sangwari App” prepared by the Transport Department and released a poster published by the Transport Department on road safety.
बैठक में जानकारी दी गई कि स्कूल शिक्षा विभाग द्वारा राज्य के स्कूलों में कक्षा पहली से लेकर दसवीं तक के राज्य शैक्षणिक अनुसंधान परिषद की पाठ्यपुस्तकों में सड़क यातायात नियमों से संबंधित अध्याय पाठ्यक्रम में शामिल किया गया है। बैठक में बताया गया कि यातायात व्यवस्था का इलेक्ट्रॉनिक सर्विलेंस रायपुर, बिलासपुर और नवा रायपुर में किया जा रहा है। भिलाई और दुर्ग में यह व्यवस्था आंशिक रूप से संचालित है। सितंबर 2023 से अक्टूबर 2024 तक 101 ब्लैक स्पॉट और 748 जंक्शन के सुधार कार्य पूर्ण किए गए हैं। बैठक में जानकारी दी गई कि हेलमेट और सीट बेल्ट का उपयोग करने पर सड़क दुर्घटनाओं में मृत्यु की संभावना 40 प्रतिशत तक कम हो सकती है।

From January 1, 2023 to October 31, 2024, the licenses of 7826 drivers have been suspended. Funds have been sanctioned for the construction of Trauma Stabilization Units in 8 accident prone areas Rajnandgaon, Dharsiwa Abhanpur, Pali, Simga, Sukma, Bemetara and Pathalgaon. Vehicle location tracking devices have been installed in 14 thousand 261 vehicles, speed governors in more than 72 thousand vehicles and panic buttons in 2200 buses. In the meeting, works like identification of black spots, improvement actions, traffic indicators in roads, removal of hoardings, removal of encroachments from footpaths, parking, service lanes etc. were reviewed.
