Government Working with Full Strength and Dedication to Completely Eradicate Naxalism: Chief Minister Shri Sai

Ensure Benefits of Schemes Reach the Last Person and Government Access is Ensured to Every Beneficiary – Chief Minister

Raipur, April 16, 2025 / A divisional-level review meeting was held today at the Bastar Collectorate meeting room ‘Prerna’ under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. In the meeting, Chief Minister Shri Sai reviewed the progress of various schemes in detail and directed the officials to prioritize the fulfillment of the set targets while ensuring smooth implementation of beneficiary-oriented schemes.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the journey of development in Bastar now demands continuous momentum, not stagnation. Our effort is to ensure that the benefits of the schemes reach the last person and the government’s access is ensured to every beneficiary.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Bastar is no longer a symbol of backwardness, but is becoming the gateway to the possibilities of a new India. Our goal is to connect every village and every family here with the mainstream of development. Schemes like Ayushman, Aadhaar, Awas, and Electrification are not just government projects, but guarantees of dignity and security for the common people.

He said that the youth of Bastar are our biggest asset. We want to give them not just skills, but also self-respect. Now our mantra is – light in every home, employment in every hand, and faith in every heart. This will be the new identity of Bastar, and from here the development story of Chhattisgarh will reach new heights.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that today’s meeting was very useful and there was an in-depth discussion regarding the development, establishment of peace, and progress of schemes in Bastar Division. It is satisfying to see that the team of government and administration in Bastar Division appears young, energetic, and committed. The presence of District Collectors, Superintendents of Police, and all officers proves that we are all serious about development and committed to establishing peace in Bastar.

In the meeting, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai directed that the government is working with full strength and dedication to completely eradicate Naxalism. The work of Naxal eradication in the state is progressing rapidly with the cooperation of the Central Government and there is a resolve to complete this target by March 31, 2026. The courage, dedication, and strategic work of our security forces is a major achievement in this direction.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the academic session is about to begin. He directed to make the process of caste certificate time-bound and simple so that children do not face any difficulty. He said that there is a possibility of diseases in summer and rainy seasons, in such a situation, keep the availability of medicines and medical arrangements at the CSC level and health centers robust. He said that special attention needs to be given to the establishment of industries in Bastar. He said that provisions have been made in the industrial policy giving priority to Scheduled Castes, women, and local youth, so that local people can be promoted in the direction of employment and self-reliance. He said that efforts are being made to complete the incomplete schemes in Bastar soon and work is in progress to start regular flights from Jagdalpur Airport. Momentum is also being brought to other infrastructure projects including national highways.

The Chief Minister said that there is a need to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the last person without any hindrance. Being a tribal-dominated area, it becomes even more necessary that we prioritize individual benefit-based schemes and economically empower every family. Due to mobile network problems, services like Aadhaar, ration, banking are often disrupted. A quick solution will be found for this by coordinating with the concerned agencies. He said that the availability of mobile networks and communication equipment will be ensured in remote areas. He gave instructions regarding strengthening the transport system. He said that there is a need to run regular buses in rural areas so that the public can get a safe and accessible means of transportation.
