Shri Ghulam Minhajuddin, retired Judge of Chhattisgarh High Court, Bilaspur has been unanimously elected as the Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Waqf Board. The newly elected chairman was welcomed by the officers and employees of the board. It is noteworthy that the Chhattisgarh State Waqf Board members were appointed by the Tribal and Scheduled Castes Development Department, Government of Chhattisgarh. From among the appointed members, the chairman, chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Waqf Board was to be selected. In this regard, a meeting of the newly appointed members of the Board was convened on 13th April in the office of Chhattisgarh State Waqf Board, Raipur for the election of the Chairman. In the meeting, the name of Shri Ghulam Minhajuddin, retired Judge, Chhattisgarh High Court, Bilaspur was proposed by Shri Faisal Rizvi (Advocate), Member, for the Chairman of the Board. which was agreed upon by all the members. Thus, Mr. Ghulam Minhajuddin, retired judge of Chhattisgarh High Court, Bilaspur, was unanimously elected as the chairman of Chhattisgarh State Waqf Board. In the meeting, newly appointed members of the board, Mr. Faisal Rizvi, Advocate, former MLA Mr. Imran Memon, Inspector General, Registrar and Stamp Raipur, Ms. Iffat Ara, Member Waqf Board Mr. Mohammad Firoz Khan, Chief Executive Officer, Chhattisgarh State Waqf Board Mr. Sajid Memon etc. were present in the meeting.
