Rescue team reached Kawardha from Tamil Nadu with four hostage workers of Kabirdham district

The rescue team of four workers of Chhattisgarh’s Kabirdham district who were taken hostage in Karur district of Tamil Nadu has returned safely to Kabirdham in Chhattisgarh. All the workers, as soon as they stepped on the soil of their district, first paid obeisance to Mother Earth. The workers thanked Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Cabinet Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, Collector Mr. Janmejay Mahobe and Superintendent of Police Dr. Lal Umend Singh on their return safely to Kabirdham. Collector Mr. Janmejay Mahobe, Superintendent of Police Dr. Lal Umand Singh and Shrampaddhikari Shree Shoaib Qazi welcomed the workers and the rescue team to the collectorate premises after the rescue team freed them from hostage and reached Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh. The Collector and the SP discussed with all the workers and got to know about their well being. The collector gave instructions to conduct a primary health test of all. Collector Mr. Mahobe said that only after conducting a health test, all the workers would be safely transported to their homes. Collector and SP congratulated the rescue team for the mission successful. It is noteworthy that on receiving information about 4 youth Baiga of Amlitola, dependent village of Amaniya, Village Panchayat of Vananchal area, Pandariya development block, being made bonded labor by contractor in Tamil Nadu State, Collector Mr. Janmejay Mahobe took it seriously and took immediate notice and 5 member Formed a team of officers. On October 5, a complaint was made by Karan Singh Baiga’s father Roopsingh Baiga in police station Kukdur, taking cognizance of which was confirmed on October 06 and after confirmation on October 6, Collector Mr. Janmejay Mahobe sent Karur District Collector, Superintendent of Police, Labor Commissioner. Apprised of the seriousness of the fact and sent a letter to take immediate action. On 7 October, a 5-member team consisting of Naib Tehsildar, Labor Inspector, District Child Protection Officer, Police Inspector and Principal Constable had left for the safe return of the hostage workers at the district level. On reaching the rescue team, Collector Mahobe kept in constant touch with the Collector of Karur district of Tamil Nadu through telephone, due to which the rescue team kept getting help there. On the instructions of the local district administration, the ECC of Karur district. High level investigation was done in the factory. During investigation, youths of the district were found hostage, who were rescued and the hostage release certificate was issued. Under the provisions of the Central Government, immediate assistance is given at the rate of 30 thousand rupees per mortgage along with the release certificate, for this also Collector Mahobe has again asked the Karur Collector, Tamil Nadu to get the amount under the rules.
