Republic Day 2025: Colorful programs were organized across the state on the occasion of 76th Republic Day. The ministers in charge hoisted the flags in their respective districts and took the salute of the parade. In this sequence, the tricolor was hoisted for the first time on the occasion of Republic Day in 26 villages of Bastar division, which is considered the stronghold of Naxalites. Where a large number of children as well as elders gathered to celebrate this national festival. Let us inform that to promote the security of villagers in Bastar division, 26 new security centers were established, which are now functioning as overall development centres. These include Gundam, Futkel, Chhutwahi, Kondapalli, Zidapalli, Vattevagu, Karregatta, Pedia under District Bijapur, Kasturmetta, Maspur, Irakbhatti, Mohandi, Horadi, Garpa, Kachchapal, Kodaliar under District Sukma, Tekalgudem, Puvarti, under District Sukma. Lakhapal, Poolanpad, Tumalpad, Raigudem, Panidobirs were established under Golakonda, Gomaguda, Menttaguda and district Kanker. All these security camps are also functioning as an integrated development centre.

Sweets and chocolates distributed among villagers
It is noteworthy that due to Naxalite terror in these villages, the tricolor had not been hoisted since independence. But this time the tricolor was hoisted for the first time with the enthusiasm of the security forces. The security forces deployed in these camps explained the importance of Republic Day to the local villagers and distributed sweets, chocolates and sweets.
Tight security arrangements made in the entire division
To ensure security and peace on Republic Day, DRG, STF, CAF, CRPF, CoBRA, SSB, ITBP, BSF and local police had made necessary security arrangements in the entire division.
