Brief information of the scheme The objective of the scheme is to alleviate the financial difficulties faced by poor families in the context of marriage of the girl child, prevent wasteful expenditure on the occasion of marriage and promote simple marriages, the poor through organizing mass marriages. To increase morale / self-esteem and improve their social status, encourage mass marriages and prevent dowry transactions in marriages. For the eligibility under the scheme, the ration card issued under the Kanya Mukhyamantri Khadyan Yojana should be of the family, maximum two girls of one family can be benefited, the age of the girl should be more than 18 years and the groom should be more than 21 years, for the first marriage This assistance will be eligible, only the girl involved in the mass marriage will be entitled to the said assistance, the girl and her family should be resident of Chhattisgarh state, priority will be given in providing assistance to literate girls, the girl will be given the Chief Minister Kanya Marriage Scheme Or will be eligible to get benefits under any one of the scheme of mass marriage schemes operated by the Scheduled Castes and Tribes Development Department.
