RBI has imposed a fine of Rs 5 lakh on commercial cooperative bank Maryadit Raipur. The penalty is imposed on violation of rules regarding starting new ATMs and KYC ie customer information. In the letter issued by the RBI, it is mentioned that in March 31, 2018, some instructions were given from the bank’s economic location, which was not followed by the bank management. The RBI gave a show cause notice to the bank management, after which a reply was sent on behalf of the bank. But RBI was not satisfied with the reply and imposed a fine of five lakh rupees on commercial cooperative bank Maryadit Raipur for violation of rules and non-compliance of instructions.
