Haj House to be built in Nava Raipur at a cost of about 26 crores: The much-awaited demand of the society was fulfilled
Chief Minister congratulates Eid-ul-Azha to the people of the state including Muslim society
On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel laid the foundation stone of Chhattisgarh Haj House through video conferencing from his residence office here today. The Haj House will be constructed on three acres of land at a cost of about Rs 26 crore. The five-storey building will have all facilities for Haj pilgrims. The building will be constructed at Nava Raipur Atal Nagar near Mandir Hasaud Road Airport.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel while wishing Eid-ul-Azha to the people of Muslim society, said that today is a chance of double happiness for the people of Chhattisgarh. Eid is being celebrated in Chhattisgarh along with the whole world and today the foundation stone of Chhattisgarh Haj House has been taken. To reduce the hardship of the Hajis, the hard work of the people of the society paid off and the demand for the construction of Haj House has been fulfilled for a long time.
The Chief Minister said that Haj pilgrimage is an unprecedented moment of life for every Muslim. The Haj pilgrimage has also been affected this year due to Corona. He said that he will demand from the Central Government that in the Haj pilgrimage of 2021, Haj pilgrims from Chhattisgarh should be given a chance. He said that he will also take initiative to get the remaining amount of Rs 5 crore to Chhattisgarh from Haj Committee of India.
Minister of School Education and Minority Welfare, present at the Chief Minister’s residence on this occasion While wishing Eid greetings to the people of Muslim society, Premasay Singh Tekam said that Haj pilgrims from Chhattisgarh had to first go to Nagpur. After the construction of Haj House all the facilities will be available for them here. Speaking on the occasion, Minister of Forests, Transport and Housing, Mohammad Akbar, who was present at the foundation stone site Nava Raipur, said that for the convenience of Haj pilgrims, efforts will be made to start flying from Chhattisgarh itself. He thanked the Chief Minister on behalf of the society for offering the Haj House to the Muslim society.
The Chairman of Haj Committee, Mr. Mohammad Aslam Khan thanked. On this occasion, the Chairman of State Waqf Board, Shri Salam Rizvi, President of Chhattisgarh State Text-book Corporation, Mr. Shailesh Nitin Trivedi, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Mineral Development Corporation, Mr. Girish Dewangan, President of Chhattisgarh State Food and Civil Supplies Corporation at Nava Raipur Event Site Mr. Ram Gopal Agrawal, Chairman of State Minorities Commission Mr. Mahendra Chhabra, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Khadi and Village Industries Board, Mr. Rajendra Tiwari, Mayor of Municipal Corporation Raipur, Mr. Ejaz Dhebar and other distinguished citizens of Muslim society were present.
