Balodabazar Complaints of selling water without production date and expiry date were coming out amid the increasing demand for mineral water during the summer season. Taking this seriously, on the instructions of Collector Deepak Soni, the Food and Drug Administration team raided the mineral water packaging plants located in Bhatapara and Simga and investigated the production process there. During the inspection, ‘Zealup’ packaged drinking water and ‘Zeal up Jera Pace’ were taken from the Zaya Agro plant of Simga and samples of carbonated beverages. Food safety officials said that these samples will be sent to the State Food Testing Laboratory, from where necessary action will be taken as per the rules after the investigation report.
