Pure drinking water is being supplied in rural areas of the state under Jal Jeevan Mission. According to the intention of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, speedy and quality implementation of the works of Jal Jeevan Mission is the priority of the state government. Public Health Engineering Minister Guru Rudrakumar has given instructions to the officers to complete the works of Jal Jeevan Mission within the time limit. In this episode, Dhamtari Collector Shri P.S. Elma took review meeting of District Water and Sanitation Committee under Jaljeevan Mission. In relation to the works under construction under various water supply schemes, he directed that quality construction is the first priority of the government and the officials of the departments concerned should not take any laxity in the works and ensure that the implementation of the works is visible at the field level. He said that to make the villagers aware about the water supply schemes, they should do continuous publicity, so that the message goes to the people that Jal Jeevan Mission is their own plan and after construction, the schemes are to be maintained and maintained by them at the village level. In this review meeting, the collector took updated information about the development block wise, plan wise, work of retrofitting water supply scheme, single village scheme, solar based water supply scheme and group water supply scheme. He directed all the departmental employees to go to the field level and be aware of the situation and complete the work expeditiously. Apart from this, where there is a need to establish coordination with other departments. In the meeting, the officials said that under the retrofitting water supply scheme, work orders of all have been issued against 262 approved schemes and out of these 246 works are in progress. Under Single Village Water Supply Scheme, out of 361 sanctioned works, technical approval of 360, administrative approval of 335 have been received and work orders of 195 have been issued while 134 schemes are in progress. Similarly, while giving information about solar based drinking water schemes, he said that out of 80 work orders have been issued and 14 schemes have been completed. Apart from this, while giving information about the four proposed group water supply schemes, he said that the tender of Sankara group water supply scheme, Ghathula water supply scheme is under process, while Belergaon and Rudri group water supply scheme is currently under consideration. Collector Mr. Elma gave approval in the meeting on the proposal for administrative approval of six technical sanctioned works of single village schemes. Under which 422 works of FHTC costing Rs. 2 crore 83 lakh 23 thousand are included.
