Provision of Rs. 8.88 crore for purchase of uniform in the budget of Women and Child Development Department

The Department of Women and Child Development of the state government has clarified that there is a provision of Rs 8 crore 88 lakh for purchasing uniforms in the budget of the department.

The Department of Women and Child Development has agreed to purchase uniforms on 31 March 2021 by the Finance Department. The plan also had provisions in 2020-21 and provisions in 2021-22.

It is known that rights are delegated to the administrative department for this in point number 9 of section four of the Financial Rights Handbook Part-1. In this regard, the Finance Department has agreed to issue a Uniform Purchase Order as per the departmental proposal as per the guidelines of the Government of India. It was also clarified by the Finance Department that this expenditure should be made from the budget for the financial year 2021-22. For this, there is a provision of Rs 8 crore 88 lakh in the budget of the Department of Women and Child Development.
