Raipur, 25 November 2024/ To commemorate the completion of 75 years of the Constitution, various programs will be organized throughout the year in schools, colleges and gram panchayats of the state to make people aware about the Constitution in Chhattisgarh. The tagline of 'Our Constitution, Our Self-respect' has been fixed for organizing these programs. School children will be encouraged to participate in MyGov competitions on www.mygov.in and youth engagement activities on MyBharat.gov.in.
To commemorate the completion of 75 years of the Constitution, quiz, debate and speech competitions will be organized in schools and colleges. A 15-day Constitution Yatra will be taken out in Scheduled Caste and Tribe villages. During the yatra, wherever there are statues of Baba Saheb, floral tributes will be offered to them. Gram Sabhas will also be organized in Gram Panchayats, in which the fundamental duties of the citizens under Article 51A of the Constitution will be read and explained. Living freedom fighters will be honored on this occasion. Special functions will be organized in the villages associated with the members of the Constituent Assembly, with special emphasis on the contribution of women members of the Constituent Assembly.
In schools and colleges, quizzes will be organized on the provisions of the Constitution, the process of making the Constitution, fundamental rights, duties and directive principles of state policy and latest amendments etc. Also debate seminars on rights and duties of citizens and other constitutional issues, including information on social empowerment, women empowerment, promotion of gender equality, making the Constitution flexible to face challenges with time and latest and major amendments.
