Press Conference : Chandrapur

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel said in a press conference held in Chandrapur that during the meeting-meeting campaign yesterday, I met people in Chandrapur Vidhan Sabha’s village Mukta, village Saradih and Chandrapur, there is enthusiasm for the new district. Two days ago, under Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, Godhan Nyay Yojana, Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana, a transfer of about Rs 1900 crore has been done directly in the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. Paddy procurement will start in the state from November 01, this year we have made preparations to buy more than 01 crore metric tonnes of paddy. Last time we had procured 98 lakh metric tonnes of paddy, which is a record in itself. Under the Bijli Bill Half scheme, 42 lakh domestic consumers have been given relief of Rs 2500 crore so far. Along with declaring the support price of Kodo-Kutki-Ragi in the state, we have also made arrangements for the purchase of these crops. While encouraging pulses crops along with paddy and small cereal crops, arrangements are being made to purchase moong, urad, tur on support price. In the field of health, through schemes like Mukhyamantri Haat-Bazaar Clinic Yojna, Mukhyamantri Slum Health Scheme, Dai Didi Clinic Scheme, Shri Dhanwantri Generic Medical Stores Yojna, health facilities are being provided to the last person of the society. In the last four and a half years, we have created 06 new districts and more than 85 tehsils. Two days ago, 10 more new sub-divisions and 25 new tehsils have been started.
