Chhattisgarh Environmental Protection Board has claimed effective control over water pollution caused by water polluting industries in the state. Mandal has also claimed to monitor the water quality of natural water sources.
The statement issued by the mandal said that it is also being ensured that all the water polluting industries set up in the state are operated along with the installation of contaminated water treatment plant. Courts of action are also taken along with shutting down of industries and shutting down of power supply if disturbances are found. A written statement has been issued to Guswar by the Chhattisgarh Environmental Protection Board. In this, it has been told from the mandal that the water reaching the Kharun river from Bhanpuri, Urala and Siltra industrial area of Raipur is not affecting the quality of the drains and Kharun river in any way.
The quality of natural water resources in the main rivers of the state, Mahanadi, Shivnath, Kharun, Arpa, Hasdev, Kelo, Shankhani-Dankani, Mand, Indravati are being continuously monitored. Divisional officials said that various sampling points have been made for this, from where samples are used to check the quality of the water sources.
