Raipur. To stop the incidents of love jihad that are happening continuously in the state, people of Hindu society met Home Minister Vijay Sharma. During this, the family members of the girl who has been missing from Rajim for the last one month narrated their ordeal to the minister.
Dilip Sahu, who accompanied the delegation, said that the phone details showed that the girl had talked to a boy of a particular religion several times before she went missing. The girl was contacted through online gaming and Instagram. The family has contacted the police station several times in the past one month, but the girl has not been traced yet.
Ashwani Sahu, who came from Kumhari, informed the Home Minister about many incidents of love jihad in Durg district and said that in most of the cases, daughters of his own community are being targeted. He demanded strict action against this. Ram Bihari Mishra informed the Home Minister about a large number of love jihad cases including the recent case of kidnapping of a minor tribal girl by a non-Hindu boy. He demanded strict laws and said that Yogi model should be implemented in Chhattisgarh as well.
Advocate Pramod Tiwari drew the attention of the Home Minister towards the weak laws of the state on this issue. Vijay Sharma listened to the delegation seriously and assured immediate action. Those who met the Home Minister included representatives of Hindu society including Vinod Sahu, Jitendra Sahu, Dr. Mohit Sahu, Umesh Sahu, Virendra Singh.
