Health and Family Welfare Minister of Chhattisgarh Government, Shri T.S. Singhdeo inaugurated a 4-bedded dialysis unit in the district hospital affiliated to the Government Medical College on Wednesday. On this occasion, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Labor Welfare Board Mr. Shafi Ahmed, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Forest Medicine Plant Board Mr. Balkrishna Pathak, Mayor Dr. Ajay Tirkey, District Panchayat member and Chairman of District Red Cross Society Mr. Adityaeshwar Sharan Singhdeo, Mr. Rakesh Gupta, Dean Dr. R. Murthy, Medical Superintendent Dr. Lakhan Singh, CMHO. Dr. PS Sisodia and other public representatives and officials were present. Free dialysis was done for three patients on the day of inauguration itself.
Speaking at the inauguration, Shri Singhdeo said that our government is making continuous efforts to provide better health facilities to the people. In this sequence, today 4 bedded dialysis unit was dedicated to the general public in the affiliated district hospital of Government Medical College. With the start of the dialysis unit, now four patients will get dialysis facility simultaneously. Dialysis becomes necessary for patients suffering from diabetes and other serious diseases. The patients will get relief by starting 4 units of dialysis in the district headquarters and getting the benefit of free service. This dialysis service will be provided free of cost under the Jeevandhara programme.
During this, Shri Singhdev virtual inaugurated 5 units of dialysis at Jashpur District Hospital. Thereafter, he visited the TrueNat Lab and congratulated the officers and employees of the Lab for successful implementation of one year and asked them to perform the work diligently in future also. It was told that 42 thousand corona tests have been done so far from True-Nat.
