    Rs 15.37 crore transferred to 44,940 workers through D.B.T.

    Raipur, April 09, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today attended the inauguration ceremony of the newly appointed Chairman of Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Dr. Rampratap Singh, held at BOC Bhawan, Nava Raipur. On this occasion, Labor Minister Shri Lakhanlal Dewangan and Board Chairman Dr. Rampratap Singh jointly transferred Rs 15.37 crore to 44,940 workers through D.B.T. into the workers’ bank accounts.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai congratulated and wished Dr. Rampratap Singh on assuming office and expressed hope that under his leadership, the Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board will work better in the interest of the workers. Labor Minister Shri Dewangan, on the occasion of transferring the amount to the workers, said in the program that, in the government of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo, the workers of the state and their family members are continuously getting the benefits of the schemes rapidly. The state government is running many schemes for the betterment of workers and their families. Through these schemes, continuous financial assistance is being provided to improve the social and economic condition of the workers. In the past one and a quarter years, about Rs 500 crore is being transferred to the bank accounts of the workers through various schemes.

    Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Labor Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Food Minister Shri Dayal Das Baghel, Ramesh Bais (Former Governor), MLA Shri Dharam Lal Kaushik, Smt. Raimuni Bhagat, Purandar Mishra, Anuj Sharma, Chairman of Labor Welfare Board Shri Yogesh Dutt Mishra, Secretary cum Labor Commissioner, Smt. Alar Mel Mangai D., Secretary of Ch.G. Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Shri Girish Kumar Ramteke, Additional Labor Commissioner Shri S.L. Jangde and Smt. Savita Mishra along with the Chairman and members of the Corporation, Board, Commission as well as workers and public representatives were present in the program.

    Under the schemes of Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, the amount transferred through D.B.T. includes Rs 04 crore 05 lakh 25 thousand to 30,585 workers under the assistance scheme for free uniforms and books for the children of construction workers, Rs 02 crore 11 lakh to 1055 workers under Minimata Mahtari Jatan Yojana, Rs 52 lakh 19 thousand 500 to 3480 workers under Chief Minister Construction Labor Safety Equipment Assistance Scheme, Rs 32 lakh to 32 workers under Chief Minister Construction Labor Housing Assistance Scheme, Rs 01 crore 10 lakh to the successors of 102 workers under Chief Minister Construction Labor Death and Disability Assistance Scheme, Rs 12 lakh 60 thousand 595 to 70 beneficiaries under Chief Minister Noni Babu Medhavi Education Assistance Scheme, Rs 4 crore 92 lakh, 20 thousand to the daughters of 2461 workers under Chief Minister Noni Empowerment Assistance Scheme, Rs 87 lakh 25 thousand to 4237 beneficiaries under Chief Minister Naunihal Scholarship Scheme, Rs 36 lakh 19 thousand 780 to 1048 workers under Chief Minister Labor Tool Assistance Scheme, Rs 35 lakh 40 thousand to 177 beneficiaries under Chief Minister Labor Siyan Assistance Scheme, Rs 62 lakh 48 thousand 782 to 1687 workers under Chief Minister Cycle Assistance Scheme, Rs 39 thousand 500 to 05 beneficiaries under Chief Minister Sewing Machine Assistance Scheme and Rs 50 thousand to 01 beneficiary of Excellent Sports Promotion Scheme for children of construction workers are included.
